How Do Tinctures Absorb Into The Body?

Tinctures are absorbed sublingually, (under the tongue) and most is absorbed into the blood vessels, carried into the bloodstream. What is not absorbed goes through the digestive tract. This allows a quick onset of the CBD and a delayed affect after traveling through the digestive system.

How much CBD should I take at a time?

We recommend starting with a half dropper under your tongue and holding it for at least 30 seconds, if not longer. Why a half dropper? It is important to find the right amount that works for you. Since everyone’s imbalances are different, the endocannabinoid system will pull what it needs in to the CB1 and CB2 receptors to help the body help itself, naturally. If half a dropper is not enough, take another quarter dropper, until you find the amount that works for you. Wait at least 15 – 20 minutes before taking more CBD. You cannot overdose on CBD, but what the body does not use, it eliminates through waste.

Our natural tinctures can be given to your pets too!
